ABSTRACT

Medical treatments such as imiquimod, diclofenac in hyaluronic acid, ingenol mebutate, and photodynamic therapy (PDT) represent successful therapeutic options for selected patients with nonmelanoma skin cancer. Besides its relevance in diagnosis, dermoscopy has been recently increasingly used in the management of patients with superficial basal cell carcinoma (sBCC), Bowen’s disease (BD), and actinic keratosis (AK) to monitor the clinical outcome of topical and light-based treatments and to detect early recurrences during posttreatment follow-up. 1–9
