ABSTRACT
Agriculture is a vital part of household livelihoods and national economies of developing countries. The role of a country or community’s food supply in human survival sets the productivity of the agriculture sector apart from other sectors of production. Historically, throughout the world, the introduction of new technology has been an important factor in increasing the productivity of labor and land and, hence, in improving household livelihoods and food security.
