ABSTRACT
Throughout world, water supply is a major constraint to crop production due to water demand for rapid industrialization and high population growth. The further scarcity of irrigation water for crop production should be checked for sustaining the food supply through efficient water conservation and management practices even in high rainfall areas. Moreover, the harvest per every drop of irrigation water should be enhanced while considering the best water use efficiency (WUE) associated with any crop.
