ABSTRACT
With the development of information technology, the databases of Chinese medicine resources are under construction all over the country. Hubei Province, based on the third national Chinese medicine resources survey, after many years of accumulation, acquisition and exchange, now in the herbarium of Hubei University of traditional Chinese Medicine collects a total of 189 families and 2804 species, 8314 specimens of the medicinal plant herbarium specimens, along with the development of the fourth national Chinese medicine resources survey work, some new precious herbarium specimens will newly introduce. These specimens are the basis of the naming and entities for the resources of medicinal plants in Hubei province, and they are the most basic data and information study the medicinal plants and also the scientific basis of the archives and the dynamic change of the medicinal plants.
