ABSTRACT

Higher vocational education is an important part of higher education system in China. As its scale is expanding, the quality of the students in Higher Vocational Colleges has gradually declined. During the teaching practice, it’s discovered that logical thinking and abstract thinking of a lot of higher vocational students need to be improved; they have

weak knowledge of basic course, such as Chinese, Mathematics. In addition, their behavior and study habits are not fine for vocational education. All of these phenomena requires teacher to update and reform teaching approaches constantly, build a new teaching style based on the “Student-Centered” theory, so that the whole class could change from teaching to learning, and all of the learning activities are established on the students’ own experiences, their own activities, and their own exploration. At the end, it could provide a maximum space for students’ reflection, exploration, discovery and innovation.
