ABSTRACT

Large rotor is likely to exist some faults in application, which need maintenance with intermittent rotary mechanism [1, 2]. The work method of the intermittent rotary is converting mechanical power from high speed, low torque to high torque, low speed, in which motor provides power and is reduced by reducer. Generally, the force is transferred to the runner to achieve low rotate speed with tire, which has good elasticity and strength. However, when starting or stopping such mechanism, it exists dangers because of the failure of elastic component [3]. Therefore, it is necessary to design a novel intermittent rotary mechanism for large rotor maintenance.
