ABSTRACT

I am going to share the description I gave of the murder in my first book Treacherous and then offer some thoughts regarding what I wrote:

Commenting on this incident, Mike Cabana told me in an e-mail, “I also understand the decisions/interpretation made by others in relation to whether you were acting at the direction of the RCMP. I guess we are back to the issue of perspectives.” What Mike was saying is that although he understood my view of the issue, he could also understand the position of the police officers involved. Mike knew that I was probably not going to like what he was saying to me, but he also knew that it was important for me to understand that all of

the allegations and accusations just came down to a difference in perspective. That is one of the things that a good handler does-he helps put things into perspective for the informant.
