ABSTRACT
As for the seamen in the fishing sector, they are regulated by the Work in Fishing Convention, 2007 (not ratified by Spain).
A mandatory regulation related to the working conditions and imposed to all the member states, is to set in 16 years old the minimum age to perform any kind of labour in the sea, so the young persons under this age cannot be hired on board of ships.
