ABSTRACT
The High Cycle Fatigue (HCF) prediction may be considered as a statistical estimate with a large scatter allocation for the purpose of establishing an allowable stress range, whereas the low cycle fatigue prediction methods are deterministic of their nature and aim to find the actual number of cycles to fail.
