Numerical investigation of the impact of speed reduction on propeller excitation

The ship is equipped with a four blades controllable pitch propeller (see in Figure 2 a CAD image). The main characteristics are presented in Table 2.

The ship is designed to operate at a speed of 14 kn; while at reduced speed she sails at 11 kn maintaining a constant rotational speed of the shaft and controlling the pitch.
