ABSTRACT
The issue of ships fuel consumption reduction is becoming more and more relevant both due to its impact on the financial costs of marine transportation activities and due to its impact on the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions caused by the combustion of oil-based fuels, that are required to significantly decrease in the coming years by international environmental authorities.
