ABSTRACT

Biogas is a combustible gas that is similar to natural gas or to propanebutane gas. The biogas (the biologic gas) traditionally can be obtained after anaerobe fermentation of organic matter.

Due to the global efforts for reduction of emissions of Green House Gases (GHG) and for replacing fossil fuels with renewable energy sources, in the last decade the interest towards the biogas has considerably increased. In addition, there should be mentioned that biogas generation represents an attractive solution for organic waste treatment with great advantages for the environment. In this context biogas and thus energy

generation from animal and agricultural wastes represents a priority and needs state support, [1].
