ABSTRACT
Once we have our entities, the next step is to gure out how they t together. Like a giant jigsaw puzzle, the entities in a scientic domain each play a role in the physical world, and we need to understand and represent that role in order to gain insight and intelligently reason over the information space. e input into the organization process is a set of entities that exist in the content along with the content and any structured information that corresponds to each entity. e output is an ontology that describes what kind of thing each entity is and how it relates structurally to other entities in the physical world. We will discuss how this output can frequently be used as an enabler for new discoveries.
