ABSTRACT
Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) has become an established method for road inspection. Preservation and maintenance of transport infrastructure is a global concern that affects social and economic development in all countries. This document presents a compilation of works regarding the GPR method applications for road inspection. Different survey types in road aspects, such as characterization, pavement measuring and concrete testing are mentioned. It has been demonstrated that GPR has significantly benefited the procedures for inspection and also, successfully solved some of the limitations of traditional methods.
