ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: The issue of the bending of triangular plate under the action of a bending moment is involved in many engineering projects, but that under a concentrated bending moment is seldom discussed. On the basis of mixed variables method [1], this thesis studies the bending of triangular plate under a concentrated bending moment and different constraint conditions. With no need to consider the displacement function hypothesis, this method gets rid of the tedious procedures used in the classical solution by which the total potential energy of mixed variables can be obtained as well as the curvilinear equation of the triangular plate with one free hypotenuse and two fixed border. Besides, the unknown quantity will become clear through the corresponding curvilinear equations mentioned.
