ABSTRACT: Focused on the impacts of coating process on the micro-physical structures of reconstituted tobacco sheet, the comparison of domestic and abroad products were performed first, and the influences of viscosities of coating liquids on the micro-structures were analyzed. The results showed that coating efficiency influences the pore distribution of the surfaces directly. Coating efficiency can increased greatly with the increase of viscosity of coating liquids, 40-50 m ⋅ Pa ⋅ s viscosity of coating fluids will be helpful for the increase of basic weight and coating efficiency for domestic products. Compared with abroad products, domestic products need to resolve the problems such as wide distributions of pore size and volume porosity.
