ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: This paper introduces the technology and content of the first subcritical 300 MW steam turbine transformation using high-temperature circulating water for direct heating, and illustrates the similarities and differences with the 135 MW-150 MW stage units. On the basis of transformation of 135 MW-150 MW stage units, technical problems that commonality transformation of dual low-pressure cylinder, feeding water pump turbine transformation, and condensate polishing treatment system transformation have been solved on 300 MW turbine unit to heating directly using high-temperature circulating water. After transformation, the power load is 230.4 MW when the unit back-pressure is 54.9kPa; heat capacity is 460.2 MW when the unit inlet steam flow is 1025t/h; unit average heat consumption rate is 3725.65 kJ/kWh, thermal efficiency of cycle is above 96%, and coal consumption for power generation is 139 g/kWh. At least 64,600 tons of standard coal is saved every heating season, and area of heat supply increases 4 million square meters. Small energy intensive boilers are replaced, and the annual saving for standard coal consumption is 28,300 tons. The comprehensive saving for standard coal is 92,900 tons.
