ABSTRACT
Most pleural eusions are encountered in the setting of an underlying disorder which is known to cause pleural eusions. e vast majority of pleural eusions are due to malignancy, heart failure, or infection. Uncommon pleural eusions represent a group of diseases which may be delayed in diagnosis due to the infrequency in which they are seen.
