ABSTRACT

Scientific location and reasonable engineering layout are crucial factors for keeping stability in the process of excavation of underground engineering and in the late stage. The first aspect to be considered is the stability condition of surrounding rocks in the underground engineering site selection and layout structure. However, a complex geological environment often affects the stability of surrounding rocks from different aspects, which pose serious problems for the design and construction of the project. Usually, the rock properties, geological structure, groundwater and crustal stress have the main control function of the stability of adjacent rocks (Lu, 2001).
