ABSTRACT
Illicit drug use is considered an epidemic in America. ose who continue to have or had the unfortunate opportunity to become seduced by drugs over an extended period of time understand the devastation this behavior can cause an individual and his/ her family. e reasons for extended drugs use may vary. erefore, the focus will be on what has been discovered throughout my investigation as a supervision probation ocer for drug and alcohol oenders. Since drug abuse can be attributed to many areas, a segment of this discussion will be those events where drug use impacted the lives of these individuals. e objective is to disclose several truths about drug use and its origin.
