ABSTRACT

Growing up on the streets of East Los Angeles, what I call home, Gage Ave., has been a tough life. I got jumped in by three guys at the age of 12. It lasted 30 seconds; I felt proud when they nished. I am from Gage Maravilla. e only reason I joined was because I saw my family in it. I loved the attention I was getting; whether it was good or bad. I have seen many shootings, stabbings, and drugs, as well as being involved in them. For the love of the gang life, I have had to kill rival gang members for disrespecting the homeboys.
