ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: The accuracy test of Invasive Blood Pressure (IBP) monitoring devices is of importance as the Blood Pressure (BP) is a crucial factor for doctors to judge the physiological condition of patients. In this work, a novel IBP simulator is designed based on ARM platform according to the standards in pharmaceutical industry of YY0783-2010. The rotor of a stepper motor reciprocally hits an elastic film and leads to the periodic change of pressure in the liquid path, which is simultaneously detected by a pressure sensor and transferred to a periodic signal. Experimental results show that the signal can be accurately controlled and simulates the dynamic changes of BP, which meets the requirements of the latest standards in pharmaceutical industry in terms of both accuracy and fast response.
