ABSTRACT

With the rapid development of high quality metal products industry, the users’ production technology and equipment have made great progress and they have higher requirements on quality of steel raw materials. Ultra-low carbon steel hot-rolled wire rod is mainly used to process manufacturing applications in the communications and electronic information industry such as copper, tin and zinc galvanized clad steel wire. Its terminal products are for all types of communications cables, shielded wire and capacitance pointers. Downstream users of ultra-low carbon steel hot-rolled wire require its good drawing performance, cleanness and rod uniformity. It also needs to meet the requirements of its broken index of less than 1.5 tons of steel. For this reason the causes of hot-rolled low carbon steel wire rod coarse grain structure are studied and the measures and results are analyzed[1]∼[2].
