ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: A polyurethane prodrug was synthesized using homemade Ciprofloxacin Biomonomer (CFB) as chain extender and was contrast to prodrug synthesized from ciprofloxacin chain extender. UV and FTIR spectrums showed that CFB was successfully conjugated into the prodrug’s backbone. Contrast to ciprofloxacin, using CFB as the chain extender could availably increase the drug content ratio and drug binding ratio. In addition, using CFB as the chain extender could also narrow the distribution of molecular weight due to its’ symmetric structure.
