ABSTRACT

This paper aimed on the tire abnormal wearing problem of a heavy vehicle with dualfront-axle steering system, the simulation model of the dual-front-axle steering mechanism is made by using the application ADAMS/View, and the simulation and optimal analysis process is established based on the simulated integration technology of iSIGHT and ADAMS. With Orthogonal Arrays DOE analysis, the steering mechanism is optimized by applying the multi-objective genetic algorithm NSGA-II. This paper could offer a new effective way of the design and development on automotive steering system, and the chassis as well.
