ABSTRACT
Arrangement and research of books is an important part when knowledge in books is instilled into readers. With continuous development, this work has constantly refined its scope and fully expanded its content. Library and information studies in ancient China were carried out in many aspects. For instance, ancient people mostly called the place of collecting books “pavilion”, “temple” or “platform”, and private collection of books was predominant at that time; all of these above can more or less provide methods and models for modern library management. With rapid development of information technology today, library and information studies can not only make scientific classification and management on mass books, but also form a perfect library resources and stationary circulation mode. Also, it will lay a solid foundation for highly efficient library management [1]. Moreover, it provides a reliable guarantee for dissemination of cultural knowledge and development of academic research. Therefore, great practical significance of library and information studies is self-evident.
