ABSTRACT

After the founding of new China, with the improvement of piano creation level, lots of excellent piano works, including Inner Mongolia Folk Theme Seven Piano Pieces and Temple Fair Suite by Jiang Zuxin, were produced. However, the piano culture was seriously restricted and became an important tool of procapitalist during the Cultural Revolution. So, pianos were disposed as waste and sealed up, thus increasing the distance between Chinese and international piano arts. Later, adaption of traditional folk songs to piano songs was allowed to survive in certain condition, thus resulting in adaption of many classical folk song materials to excellent piano works. In the process of adaption, northern Shaanxi folk songs became adapted key objects because of the large influence range [1].At present, they are used in piano teaching, such as Lan Hua Hua, Days of Emancipation, The Sun Rose Red. In the work, the main performing features of the piano songs adapted from folk songs in China are analyzed through combination with these northern Shaanxi folk songs.
