ABSTRACT

Among all the topics on pollution, PM 2.5 issue is one of the worldwide focus. PM 2.5 refers to particles with an aerodynamic diameter of 2.5 µm or less in the atmosphere and the safe critical value of the concentration is 10 µg/m3 annual mean, 25 µg/m3 daily mean, respectively (WHO 2006). Sources of the fine particles are mainly automobile emissions, coal burning, and biomass burning and secondary ions (Yu 2013). The fine particles are significant contributors to respiratory or cardiovascular diseases and large empirical data have proven its detrimental effect on increased death rate by these diseases (Anderson 2009).
