ABSTRACT
With the rapid development of China’s economy, science and technology, construction enjoys high-speed advancement. The building mode nowadays is undergoing the change from traditional building houses to building cities mode, making the construction huge and complex. Due to the increase in heavy work and complexity, the file keeping method in the traditional construction project has been extremely uncoordinated with the developing mode. A new management mode is in urgent need to satisfy the developing needs. BIM can solve the traditional problems effectively. It will greatly improve the project quality, shorten the schedule, and cut down the unnecessary resources consumption if BIM technology is applied in all the periods, including plans and operations. In conclusion, the BIM of building is the inevitable trend and urgent need.
