ABSTRACT
As an important content of education in colleges and universities, national defense is surely a necessity in students’ learning process, which undoubtedly indicates the great power of the important goals of national defense education. Otherwise, there is no need for national defense education. As the main positions of higher education, colleges and universities are not satisfied with the professional qualities that their students already gained. They also pay great attention to cultivate and consolidate the comprehensive qualities of students. The implementation of national-defense education concept enables students in colleges and universities to pursue their interests and sense of identity in national defense field. Therefore, students can gain a systematic understanding about the problems in national defense field [1]. Moreover, their consciousness of national defense can be significantly improved through national defense education. Thus, students’ qualities can be indicted through necessary cognition and learning. Besides, consolidation of such cognition and learning is necessary to finally develop students’ overall qualities and achieve good maintenance. Ultimately, colleges and universities will be able to achieve the goals of higher education for student.
