Modeling is important in the development of any human-computer interaction. For the particular topic of the book, it is also quite useful to use existing models or create new models for input interaction. For example, say you want to model multi-touch interaction. How can this be achieved? What method to use? Before creating a new model, it is important to understand the most-used models in HCI.
