ABSTRACT

For completing the simulation analysis of projectiles penetrating gelatin conveniently and efficiently, methods for studying the finite element parametric modeling were investigated. A simulation system was designed based on the parametric language APDL in ANSYS software and the general programming tools VB. The system can be used to implement automatic modeling without the need to consider the details of the modeling process. The accuracy and practicability of this system have been proved. For researching the effect of the initial angle of incidence on interaction, the system was used to simulate the process of a bullet penetrating gelatin with different initial angles of incidence.
