ABSTRACT
Stern bearings are mainly affected by the vertical vibration, so this calculation model only considers excitation in the vertical direction. The support position of the aft stern bearing is always 1/3 away from the end side of the bearing contact (Cao 2008), and the other bearing support position is selected in the center of the bearing contact. It is more practical for computing to simplify the bearing to multi-spring support, because the stern bearing support length is relatively long.
