1 INTRODUCTION
The efficiency of ferroparticle magnetophoresis, in particular, during its utilization in filtering-type magnetic separators, depends on several primary parameters characterizing (besides the features of ferroparticles themselves) the operational regimes of a key working unit in separators of such a type (filter-matrices of ferromagnetic granules, grains, pins, wires), as well as the properties of a moving medium (the flow of liquid or gas). Among these parameters are the following: the filter-matrix length L (the thickness of a layer), its average magnetic induction B induced by the field intensity H, a characteristic size of its elements (for the granular matrix, it is an average diameter of granuleballs d), the speed of filtration υ, and the dynamic viscosity of the medium η.
