ABSTRACT

Synthesis, structure, and thermal and mechanical properties of hybrids and blends of inorganic polymers, such as boron oxides, phosphates, sulfophosphates, and fluorophosphates with organic thermoplastics, were investigated and analyzed. The use of these hybrids presents a very promising line in the development of polymer materials science. It was shown that the blends of inorganic polyoxides with organic thermoplastics are of specific interest due to various valuable properties, such as high thermal and radiation stability, oxidation resistance, inflammability, and the absence of volatiles at thermal degradation.
