ABSTRACT
Nanotechnology is an interdisciplinary field that covers many areas of physics, chemistry, and biology. The new field of nanotechnology: nanomedicine introduced a rapid change in medical field by opening new windows to improve human health and is still evolving as a new field of medicine by utilizing nanomaterials for monitoring, diagnosing, and treating diseases. The application of nanotechnology to the medical field helps the materials and devices to react with subcellular components with high specificity. Thus the diseases can be cured at genetic level. In this chapter, we discuss about the common medical applications of nanotechnology.
