ABSTRACT
Nanoparticles have been explored as a promising drug carrier for
chemotherapy, with several systems in various stages of commercial
development. This chapter describes physicochemical features of
nanoparticles known to critically affect their therapeutic effects. It
also highlights several issues remaining in nanoparticle-based drug
delivery to tumors, including biological complexity of tumors and
formulation challenges.
