ABSTRACT
Corrosion of the steel and iron pipes has a great impact on water quality and pipelines lifetime in water distribution systems. Uniform corrosion increases iron content in drinking water and tuberculation dramatically increases hydraulic flow resistance. Also pitting corrosion affects pipe durability and is regarded as the main reason of steel pipe failures.
