Many parts of the world are going through an accelerated industrial expansion that has resulted in a rapid urban growth and a fast urbanization. This expansive growth demands more energy, more power, and more construction materials, hence it creates the need for raw material extraction, transportation and manufacturing, logistics, packaging, and waste management, among others aspects.
