ABSTRACT

The optimal design of FMS is still a critical issue and it is also a complex problem, the most common analytical method is based on mathematical programming (Kumar et al. 2006; Chan and Swarnkar 2006), but when reliability and safety evaluation are needed, analyses on the subsystems of FMS and their complicated inter-relationships turn to be necessary to accurately calculate the performance measures. Therefore, computer modeling and simulation are a more practical and accurate way to solve this problem.
