ABSTRACT

Films and nonwoven materials were investigated by the ESR method and thermophysical measurements. The effect of solvents on the structure and

molecular dynamics of films and nonwoven based on PU and styreneacrylonitrile co-polymers was studied. It is shown that a solvent weakly affects the molecular dynamics of chains in the film and nonwoven polyurethane materials and has a strong effect on the molecular mobility in the films based on the styrene-acrylonitrile co-polymers and blends with a high content of the copolymer. For the nonwoven material, this effect is insignificant. The dependence of correlation time on temperature and polymer ratio reveals the breaks at the melting temperatures of mesomorphic structures in PU-styrene-acrylonitrile blends. It was shown that ozone used as oxidizer influences the amorphous phase of investigated polymers. The spin-probe method demonstrade that for PU-based films and nonwoven materials ozone has no effect on the molecular dynamics, where as for blends and styrene-acrylonitrile co-polymer considerable changes in τ take place.
