ABSTRACT

Fragmentation of blasted rock blocks is one of the indispensable indices to evaluate the efficiency of the blast design. This is why new algorithms and software have been continuously developed and suggested for fragmentation analysis. Popular software available in this field such as Split Desktop, WipFrag, FragScan, etc. is mainly based on two-dimensional image processing technology. Stereophotogrammetry is one of the promising technologies for the fragmentation analysis, which can provide the 3D coordinates of an object from a stereo-image constructed by two or more photos.
