ABSTRACT

The measurement of air temperature was performed using the thermal stress meter TGD300, according to the norm ISO-DIS 7726/1998. For the assessment of cognitive performance it was used the Reasoning Battery Tests (BPR-5), form B (Primi & Almeida, 2000), which is designed for students from high school onwards. Because of the wide variety of psychology theories about intelligence, it has not yet been possible to reach a universally accepted definition of what exactly it is (Campos, 2005, Rodrigues et al., 2015). However, intelligence is widely accepted as the ability to problem-solving, which uses mechanisms such as judgment, planning and complex associations (Almeida et al., 2010) to achieve safety and quality of life, besides the main purposes of individuals: adaptation and survival.
