ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: For the high speed vehicle, the wheelset is the most important part in running gear, its flexible structure vibration will influence the vehicle’s dynamics performance. In this paper, the multi-body system dynamics theory was applied to research the flexible wheelset mechanics, creep model, the vehicle dynamics model considering the flexibility of wheelsets and the influence of key modal wheelsets. The model of rigid-flexible coupled system dynamics was set up to investigate the influence of wheelset flexibility on vehicle dynamics performance in various cases. The simulation results showed that the structural vibration of wheelset significantly affects the contact location of wheel, the lateral and longitudinal creepages as well as creep forces, vertical dynamic wheel-rail force, primary suspension force and derailment coefficient comparing with the rigid wheel-rail contact model.
