ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: This paper provides a numerical method for estimating the eignfrequencies of a railway vehicle with under-chassis suspended equipment. The design approach of the equipment suspension has also been discussed. Result shows that the first vertical bending frequency of car body will have ‘frequency hopping’phenomenon when turning the equipment suspension stiffness; The first vertical bending frequency of car body could be enhanced by means of equipment with optimized elastic suspension to suppress the overall and localized structural vibration of the car body.
