ABSTRACT

344Nanosized materials are gaining attention in lithium ion batteries. The use of nanosized materials can significantly improve the energy density and power density of lithium ion batteries. This review deals with the role of nanosized materials on the performance of lithium ion batteries. The potential advantages of nanomaterials with a focus on the recent advances in cathode, anode, and electrolyte are reviewed. The challenges in the area of nanomaterials for lithium ion batteries are also summarized.
