ABSTRACT
This chapter attempts to support the idea of information extraction that can be performed to extract relevant information from texts, using case-based reasoning. In this overview, we summarize several approaches to illustrate this idea. We present also a simple comparison of some systems that use textual case-based reasoning for information extraction.
