ABSTRACT

Insecticides are relatively less commonly used for cerambycid pest control as compared to many other insect pests because cerambycids spend most of their lifetime inside host plants or in soil, making it difcult to directly apply insecticides to them. As a result, cultural control probably is the most widely used tactic for cerambycid pest management (see Chapter 9). Nevertheless, chemical control using insecticides still is an important and sometimes an essential tactic used in integrated pest management of cerambycids.
