ABSTRACT

Industrial wastewater containing phenolic components is profoundly dangerous to aquatic life. Most industrial effluents are considered point sources of water contamination. New procedures and enhanced strategies were created to treat sewage, dissect wastewater and assess the effect of pollution on the environment. Wastewater is composed of organic, inorganic compounds and dissolved gases. The quantity of wastewater produced varies in different communities and countries, depending on a number of factors such as water uses, climate, lifestyle and economics. The most widely recognized pollutants of wastewater are the phenols, which refer to the class of aromatic mixtures having a hydroxyl bunch and any extra natural substituent gathering on a six-carbon benzene ring. There are three distinctive principle sorts of oxidation processes: catalytic wet air oxidation (CWAO), wet air oxidation and supercritical water oxidation. The kinetics of CWAO in commercial reactors for phenol oxidation has been considered by different authors, who have tentatively tried to develop the process.
