ABSTRACT
In this chapter, the introduction of various soft actuators, their actuation mechanism, and performance characteristics will be described. The chapter discusses the different kinds of soft materials and their certain material properties, due to which the stimulation and actuation takes place. This chapter also describes the various fabrication techniques used to prepare flexible actuators and their current applications.
